Usage Of OLPC Ruler Activity

shashi k.t
Hi

This is a favor from anyone who is willing to answer the question below mentioned,

about OLPC 'ruler activity',what is being done by the ruler exactly and the usage of it particularly in the application?

Thank you & regards

From http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Ruler:

"This is a very simple Activity which provides non-interactive screen
images of a ruler, cm and mm grids, and a cm checker board"

The ruler is just displayed for you to use, y'know, as a ruler.

Shashi,

The ruler activity also has a protractor  with 2 modes. One protractor covers 180 degrees and the other 360 degrees.
Clicking on the protractor icon and grid icon in the toolbar a 2nd time changes mode.  Experiment and learn.

Make sure the ruler is correctly positioned on screen.

Walter Bender is the last person to have performed maintenance work on the the Ruler code.
